Just for fun! Women, what is the oddest thing in your handbag right now?

I just found a halogen bulb from my torchiere lamp.

Oh, and not to be sexist, men who carry handbags are welcome to answer.
Chevella – 12 guitar picks??? Why so many? My son plays and he only ever has 3 or 4.

A REAL horseshoe? That must be pretty heavy…. your bag should be registered as a lethal weapon! lol

  5. I guess a textbook is kind of odd for a handbag and not a backpack. Other than that, the oddest thing is a giant bottle of Advil but I just had dental work done so that makes sense. The rest of my stuff is pretty normal, gum, gum wrappers, sunglasses, cell, chapstick, wallet, ipod and headphones.

I honestly was carrying today an electrical cable for a 32 amp connection and filters for theatre projectors. Quiet heavy (the cable)…perhaps that is why my back hurts (lol)

wow! I need to clean out my bag more often.

  26. LMAO. A halogen bulb?! I clean my purse out often, so I don’t have anything unusual. Most everything in it is extremely, incredibly mundane.

But I do like to carry this little red LED light. I justify it by saying that I might use it as a flashlight, but I actually don’t think it’s bright enough to be a flashlight.

Old coupons, tickets and store cards with a few cents on them that I can’t seem to let go of cuz they might be worth something later. Boring, I know. I used to carry around a little Zeus doll that I got from the thrift store for 25 cents. Every now and then I’d whip it out and tell people I found God at the thrift store for 25 cents.

  31. Cash. I don’t usually have any! I also found a melted Hershey kiss squished into a corner and an old cartoon I clipped out of the paper ages ago.

(The cartoon, Six Chix, is titled Keep Your Marriage Interesting, and after reading it again I think I’ll keep it a while longer. The wife is happily curled up on the couch reading while her husband has his head stuck in the fridge. He says, "Honeeey! Where’s the milk?" She’s thinking to herself, "I like to put it someplace different every time…")

After watching Don Aslet (THE famous D.A. of Clutter’s Last Stand) examine the forgotten contents of huge handbags, I downsized to a 8" x 6" x 3". The only thing I regret is that I can ‘t fit in horseshoes, bottles of mustard, socks (dirty or otherwise), rawhide chews, … Those were the days!

  33. I’m one of those people who can’t stand carrying a purse, but one has to be pulled out now and then for special occasions. Every time I pull that thing out, I find something odd. I’m sure many of us forget to take out the mustard/ketchup/peanut butter packages from our bags; some of us have children’s toys, or something of our partners. I actually hate putting my hand into my various purses, as I know something weird is going to be there. Two odd things I carry with me–my daughter’s baby teeth in this little opaque jar (she’s a long way away from being a baby!), but the oddest thing I pulled out was a HUGE rubber penis that I’d won at something called "sex toy bingo." Oh, and that wasn’t toooo embarrassing. I left it there, as I probably won’t use the purse again until I go out someplace fancy…and I will be sure to remove that object before I do! Nice question, quite funny responses. Thank you all for the giggle!
