How do I replace LEDs for Coralife Lamps and where do I get the bulbs?

I have had 36" Coralife lamps, with daylight, monnlight, and LEDs, for about 6 months on my 75 gallon corner tank The LED bulbs quit. I can’t figure out how to remove/replace them.
Dou think I should just take the lamp unit to the pet store with me?

When adding additional lamps to a fixture, what is the additional lumen increase per lamp?

WIth a fluorescent fixture, when you have one lamp, you have the lumen output of that lamp, as you add additional lamps, is there a one-for-one lumen increase in lumen output?

You can not guarantee that the number of lumens will double by the addition of another bulb due to the design of the lamp holder, the wall textures and colors, the distance of the object being illuminated from the light source, and the position of the new bulb with respect to the other bulb.

Lumens are the perceived power of light by the human eye and lamps are designed to provide the desired illumination effect.

For instance, if you place a 40W bulb in a lamp with an opaque square lamp shade on your desk and also place a lamp with a 40W bulb in a metal parabolic lamp with a reflective surface, the appearance of light on your desk will be much greater for the parabolic lamp as opposed to the opaque lamp.

The same is true for the fixtures installed in ceilings. If you put the same number of the exact same fixtures in two different rooms that are exactly the same size with ceiling exactly the same height from the floor but have different textured walls, the appearance of the brightness of the room will differ. If the walls are the same and one floor is tile as opposed to carpet, the same is true.

So in your case, the additional bulb may be positioned such that it can block some of the illumination of the original bulb whose light was previously being reflected to your work surface The end result is that the measurable light at your work surface will not truly double.

Try it with a light meter sometime.

How can I make lamps, clocks, and fountains from scratch?

I am interested in making my own clocks, lamps and fountains from recycled materials, but want to know how to wire lamps, manipulate clock gears and hook up fountains. I know that you usually have to buy some of the gear, but how can you customize it (for instance, a clock face)? Where can I find more information and how-to guides on how to do this?

If you google lamp plans or how to wire lamps there are plenty of creditable sources that will guide you through how to do pretty much all of this

Is it okay to transport kerosene lamps carefully packed and secured in a car with a bit of kersone remaining?

Don’t have much time before moving and pouring out kerosene would mean toxic waste disposal, which will be hard to do. There isn’t that much fuel left in bottom of lamps; what harm is there in driving these in air-conditioned car, if safely wrapped in plastic and secured against breakage or spillage? Thanks for any advice!

I doubt that you’d have any problem with the conditions you’ve described. But to be perfectly safe pour that small amount of kerosene out into a small bowl and burn it. Only takes a couple of minutes and then there’s absolutely no danger of a fire enroute.

How can I make the electrical connection to the lamps that come into the mirror I’ve bought?

I’ve bought a mirror to the toilet with lamps built into the mirror. Beside the mirror I have the shaver socket. I’m not sure how to make the electrical connection to the lamps.
Thank you for all the answers, I will definitely to look for an electrician.

you need a cord switch or a switch out side
the barthroom so it cant be used with wet hands
or be afected by condesation
