Interior design – My bedroom.?

Currently my bedroom has dark wooden floors, white furniture, light green walls and black and white art deco style curtains. A little boring if you ask me. I find myself developing a growing love for the cluttered antique styles; dark green velvet, silks, leather sofas, antique lamps. I’m not bothered about trawling through ebay to find the right things, but where do I start? What do I need to do to get it all going? Is it important to plan it out, or do these rooms develop naturally with time? Any more items that would give my room this feel would also be a help [: Thankyou x

Look at bedrooms in HGTV and and see if there is anything you might like thats not in your bed room. Make sure you know what you want and can afford it. Like getting some thing with a leg broken isn’t bad its great you can but legs at hardware stores. Repaint an old drawer add new drwer pulls or repaint the one on it. Just start looking

  1. Hi

Id say start with the biggest feature which is probably your bed…

If you arent replacing the actual bed start with the bedding… then match in the colours from there…. get antique style cushions for the bed too… rich velvet curtains etc… you can get amazing tie backs for cheap.

Ebay would be the best place to find it all… it will be find putting it all together too.

You will find you add more over time but im sure you will find a good fair bit…

Go for big antique style picture frames and pictures too.
